About the workshop:

Creatives are expected to know how to wear a lot of different hats outside of their chosen skillset. One of the hardest parts of the industry is to cut through the noise of great work and market yourself while showcasing your specific talent. That’s why Dash Studio has partnered with Showit!, a simple to use web design platform, to walk through how to create a compelling portfolio website. In this workshop we’ll walk through what Producers and Art Directors are looking for when they view someone’s website and how to set up a pro-active website that wins you work.

Chris is a designer and community manager with Showit who helps you build your dream website.

Thanks to ADHD, he's tried everything from producing albums to a fleeting dabble in leather working (tools still on standby). His varied creative ventures have driven his wife crazy but help him offer rich insights he's keen to share, which hopefully saves others from similar missteps and not-so-happy spouses.

Mack Garrison is the Co-Founder and Director of Content of dash: a high-end animation and motion design studio that simplifies complexity and helps brands connect to their community. Mack is a Raleigh native, NC State College of Design graduate, with over 10 years of experience making things happen in the motion design industry. When he’s not running things at dash, Mack is an avid hiker, camper, and outdoorsman who likes good coffee and hanging with close friends.
